How we research travel information
How EntryCompass researches, verifies and reviews entry-requirement data — and how to correct us when a rule changes.
What we publish
EntryCompass organises entry requirements, visa rules, permitted stays, airport guides and city pages into searchable guidance. Every country page links to its airports and cities; every route page shows the rules between two countries for the most common travel purpose.
How we research a route
Each entry-requirements page is built from official government and embassy sources for the destination, and, where available, the carrier or immigration operator for the origin. Our research steps are:
- Identify the destination's official immigration, border or visa authority.
- Cross-check the rules for the traveller's origin nationality and the stated travel purpose.
- Record the source page we used and the date we last checked it.
- Show that source and date directly on the route page, alongside a way to report an error.

How we keep things up to date
Border rules change often. We refresh our data on a rolling schedule in review batches, and we date-stamp each review so you can tell how recently a page was checked. When a rule changes, the route page is updated with the official source for the new rule.
Facts are separate from advertising
Travel information and recommendations on EntryCompass are researched and written independently of advertising. Advertising placements are clearly marked, and affiliate links never change the factual content. See our Affiliate Disclosure for details.
Found an error?
We welcome corrections from travellers and officials. If something looks wrong or out of date, tell us what you found and where, and we will review it against official sources and update the page when the change checks out.
- Include the page link or the route you were viewing.
- Say what you believe is wrong and share the official source you are referencing.
- Note when you observed it, if you can.
