Cookie Policy
The cookies EntryCompass sets and how you control them.
Last updated 2026-08-30
This Cookie Policy explains what cookies EntryCompass sets, why it sets them, and how you can control them. It applies to everyone who visits the site.
Cookies we set
The site is deliberately light on cookies — at the moment there are exactly two, and both are first-party:
- ec_consent — stores your advertising consent choice (granted or rejected). It lasts for one year or until you clear it, and it is only requested from visitors in regions where the law requires consent.
- ec_session — a session cookie used only after a site administrator signs in to the admin area. It is deleted when the administrator signs out.
Third-party cookies
Advertising services (currently Google AdSense) may set cookies or similar identifiers to serve and measure ads. Where consent is required, personalized advertising is not loaded until you accept it. You can accept, reject, or change your choice at any time with the consent controls, and your selection is remembered in the ec_consent cookie.
How to control cookies
- Use the consent banner controls to set or change your advertising choice.
- Use your browser settings to view, delete, or block cookies for this site.
- Note that blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the site working, such as administrator sign-in.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy whenever our cookie behaviour changes. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the latest version.
